The Association—with more than 100,000 members, 1,300 branches, and 550 college/university institution partners nationwide—advocates education and equity. Since its founding in 1881, members have examined and taken positions on the fundamental issues of the day—educational, social, economic, and political.
Our commitment to our mission is reflected in our public policy efforts, programs, Leadership and Training Institute, and diversity initiatives. AAUW's work extends globally through its international connections and membership in the International Federation of University Women.
The Walla Walla, Washington Branch was established in 1921 by women seeking to support the mission and promote the goals of AAUW. |
